About

Hello and welcome to my natural health blog. Here I will be sharing my knowledge of health, natural remedies and nutrition. Please note that this does not constitute a diagnosis or medical advice, so please seek professional advice if required. Thank you for joining me and I hope you enjoy the journey!

I qualified as a medical herbalist in 2001 and I have experience of working as a consultant medical herbalist, in natural health retail and as a health writer. I am also trained in shamanic healing and as a breastfeeding peer supporter. I enjoy supporting people to be empowered in managing their own health. I believe in integrated medicine, where nutrition, lifestyle and natural remedies should be the first line of treatment wherever possible. It is significant to me that this approach is also beneficial to the environment. I live in Darwen, Lancashire with my 8 year old daughter. I love to read and research about health, science and nature and am constantly updating my knowledge. I am also a musician and DJ when I get round to it!

My current projects include two books I have been working on for a while: The Breastfeeding Herbal and Natural Treatments for Fibromyalgia and of course, this blog! I am also planning to write a series of short booklets on natural remedies for common health issues.

  1. Love your blog. I have been interested in natural remedies for years. Am currently using essentil oils, herbs, and homeopathics for whatever ails me or my family. Although I do take prescription drugs for epilepsy, I have been able to lower the dose recently, b/c of the help I have from the natural remedies. Thanks for sharing!
